With a diverse background spanning scientific research, policy analysis and environmental journalism, Jordan brings invaluable insight on the intersection of ecological and public health issues. He has traveled extensively conducting field studies in ecosystems facing extreme climate and contamination threats – from the Amazon to Mesoamerican reefs. These on-the-ground experiences revealed the impacts of anthropogenic stressors on community wellbeing.
Jordan later consulted governments and NGOs on sustainable development initiatives as one of the UN’s inaugural Green Corps fellows. He advised on interventions addressing problems like limited healthcare access, water security concerns and food scarcity exacerbated by environmental decline. Jordan has since written extensively on the scientific evidence linking planetary health to issues like addiction and mental illness for publications in Canada and Latin America. He offers Addiction Group readers a unique sustainability perspective to inform personal and policy decisions protecting wellness.
